Emergency Management

Mission Statement
Our mission is to reduce the loss of life and property and protect the people of Osceola County through a comprehensive, all hazards emergency management system of prevention, preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation.

Welcome

Welcome to Osceola County Emergency Management!

Osceola County Emergency Management is responsible for developing and coordinating programs to protect the public from environmental, technological and security hazards or threats.

We serve all of Osceola County and coordinate with local municipal emergency programs in an effort to protect life and property as this is an innate responsibility of government during a disaster event or incident.

Emergency Management not only assists with preparation for a disaster, but also facilitates prevention, response, mitigation as well as recovery measures and activities.

An important aspect of the Emergency Management program is to assist you, our residents, in preparing for and obtaining the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate through times of disaster. We are here to assist you in taking these important steps.

As a department we work to ensure Osceola County is the safest, most inviting place to live, work, and play.

LEVEL 2: Elevated Activation - Elevated Activation - All emergency management staff are notified. The EOC will be staffed by emergency management personnel, necessary support staff and outside agencies as required to meet the operational needs of the incident.

LEVEL 1: Full Activation - All primary and support agencies are notified. The county EOC is staffed by emergency management personnel, and all necessary emergency support functions will be conducted, as well as the Executive Policy Group.
